that wing is gonna break again if it did it once under flying loads/ landing loads i say rebuild it the right way. i ahte arf's (c my sig) that wing is splinters what you do to it?? land on the wings?[sm=confused.gif][sm=spinnyeyes.gif][sm=eek.gif][sm=cool.gif][sm=tongue.gif][sm=wink.gif][sm=RAINFRO.gif] id rebuild it and maybe fully sheer the wing and fully sheet (since the lt 40 is a floater ne way this should help that problem too
) ill post pics of my mark II wing to show what im talking about. the extra sheeting takes a lot of load off the ribs... also lets not harp on the rib spar mix up shal we?? i think you already made the error clear to everyone. live and learn. not to bash on arf's (well maybe it is) but my tiger trainer i had ages ago had a similar crush problem after i shiped it somewhere. (you may ask how i fixed it, i didnt its still in my basement as a last resort for needed parts [>:] although you gotta love the solid play construction... sigh that plane weighs a ton and a half.
I closed a garage door on my mustang, knocked it on the floor from my 4' high work bench and it had less damage than that![sm=biggrin.gif]
btw i just noticed the second page of smiliies so here it goes

Ok Balsa Master. I got it
What is sheeting?.
I really want to get 3-4 more flight before it gets cold. Can i cover it up fly then do the sujested recomendations?. I think someone stepped on the wing. likely not from flight loads as stated above.

See the excess glue that has spilled out of the repair n the rib, and onto the flat balsa sheet ...
Well, that balsa sheet is sheeting ... ;-)
gus
P.S. where do you fly in Toronto? I'm there too. I have a fair amount of building / repair experience, can maybe cast another eye over your work.

patch up all this and it should be ok, buy i really sugest rebuilding it (you probably added 2 or 3 oz with all that CA) or finish learning with this one then buy a low wing and fly this one till it buries itdelf for you, saves you some time :-)
note that i the pics were compressed so the writing loks poor and mispelled.
also if you can wait a couple days ill post some pics i took and show you sheeting, or if you get it deom the explanation earlier thats ok too.sheeting makes the ribs into I beams making them less likely to twist and crush.

lol single handedly keeping the CA companies in buisness are you??
yea that should b ok just patch up the rib in that second pic and it should be ok without full rebuild for a little while but my guess is that it will break again. and when it does that is time to graduate to a low ing trainer :-)
