Caddx, I am posed with the same problem as you. I have been kicking aroung a SIG Mid star 40 or 4 star 40. I think I'm leaning to the mid star though. It has a little bit bigger wingspan and therefore should be a little more stable. All the members at my club have said these are excellent 2nd plane choices. They also mentioned buying a "stick". But I watched a stick fly and it seemed very fast and acrobatic. A little too much for me. I might even order my SIG today as a matter of fact. I'm at home from work with a sick kiddo, so I got to get something to make her feel better!!!

You are right on. I've said this before and I'll say it again. I think the best second plane available would be the 4*. If you can afford it get the 4*60 because you'll get a good feel for what a larger plane can do. I've heard the midstar is great also.
