The fastest 1/12 scale racer we ever had was the Conquest 1 racer we flew on a OS .32 SX with a Performance Speciaties Piston and sleeve upgrade. This mod allowed the engine to run over 21000 rpm static on the ground with a APC 8.5 x 5 pylon prop. The engine pulled so hard that all you had to do is hold the aircraft by the fuse around the tail, hold the nose slightly up and let go at full throttle. Once airborne and on step, this aircraft reached speeds in excess of 200 mph!!! An absolute bullet and a ton of fun to fly. It was one of those planes that when in the air no one else's wanted to fly with because they wanted to just watch. Our club was big into warbird racing and this little hotrod was so intimidating that no one wanted to compete with it. I am going through pics now and will try to post one of the prototype aircraft.
