Disco,
BVM paints are not PPG "omin" whatever that is. Were you trying to spell" Omni"?
They are not "Omni paint.

The Federal Standard 595B color equivalent would be 17038 (for gloss), 27038 for semi gloss, or 37038 for lusterless. There is an additional lusterless black used for interior panels. It is 37031, and is non-specular. We used this inside the scorer compartments in our high altitude photo recon birds.

James, I use the PPG Concept DCC9000 black. It is an OEM black used by many automobile manufacturers. It's a perfect match.
Use DCX61 hardener, and DT reducer...use the correct reducer for your shop conditions. Below is the temperature info for the reducers.
I always use a few drops of DX77 'Fisheye Preventer" to eliminate the possibility of finger oil contamination or silicone contamination.

DT860 Cool temperatures (60°-70°F)
DT870 Medium temperatures (65°-80°F)
DT885 Warm temperatures (75°-90°F)
DT895 Hot weather (above 85°F- Hotter than Hell)

I always use PPG DMC900 Strong White mixing base color tint under any yellow paint job for good coverage.
