Default RE: ez models dago red

Mike,
Don't know if you are still watching this thread, but here goes. I have been flying my EZ Dago red for 1year now and love it. This thing can be extremely fast and have a wicked roll rate. Mine has a Saito .80 in it. Having said that. If you set up low rates and use the throttle this plane does not have any bad habits and can be flown nice and easy. The only thing you need to watch out for is slowing down to much on your approaches. this plane has a thin airfoil and very little drag, read hard to slow down. So you try hard to bring it in slow, but if you get to slow the stall occurs rather abrupt. You will love this plane! I have been flying for 16 years and this is my favorite plane of all time. Simply because it flies so well. This ARF kit has a few quirks in the instructions. Use common sense and do things the way you think they should be done. For example, don't mount the aileron servos with double sided tape, I promise you that is a bad idea :-). But the way the plane flys makes it worth the money and the few problems with the instructions. I haven't had any trouble with the retracts, although others don't like them. They are cheap, but I have been flying with them off a rough grass field for a year with know problems. The only modification I made was using bigger wheels because of the grass runway. Good Luck!
