A couple of guys who have them here in the UK reckon there is a plug missing where the nipple used to be and that they had the same issue as me. When they blocked it with a grub screw the problem went away. Yet I contacted YS about this I was assured that there should be a hole there. Also similar info as post #2 from Wild Beat...? Not sure what to think so waiting for a replacement pump to arrive and then we'll see. At least it gave me a good chance to run the back up engine for Switzerland.

Hi Keith,

It's a coincidence, but one of mine started doing the same 3 days ago after 400 flights with no problem whatsoever. The hole in the reg won't cause any problems. I stripped my engine and fitted new bearings, (it was due), and a ring while I was at it. I noticed the needle valve O ring had split, so replaced that thinking that was the problem as symptoms was similar to sucking air.
Ran OK for 2 flights then started doing the same again. I have a new pump, but haven't had time to fit it and try yet, as I am on my way back to work now. I have heard of others having pump issues, but haven't myself yet. Maybe now?? I'll fit it next week and see how it goes.

Like you, it gave me an excuse to fly my back up model and get it trimmed properly. The way it is flying, may very well become my number 1.

Let me know how you go with the pump.

Cheers
Scott
