RE: Capiche 50
Well my Capiche is finally ready for it's first flights. So 2nd one up flying at Elmbridge (still haven't seen Luke's yet though).
It has come out a little porky due to using an OS70 FS and solarspan2000. No cowl or stickers yet. It is 5lb without the canopy and cowl. so with both these it will be ~5lb 3oz. Still if I decide I like it, I can always save 3-4oz by switching to an OS Ultimate when it eventually comes out, or perhaps a YS63 (so long as it will run happily on Bekra16%).
It was a real pleasure to build and went together really well, despite having not built a plane for about 4 years.
I plan to fly it Saturday morning and I am really looking forward to it. I have set the CofG fairly conservatively at about 120mm, but have the maximum movement possible with my current linkages which for elevator is about 50degrees up and 70degrees down - should be enough. I have 3 rates with plenty of expo set so I can tame it down to start with and build up to it if necessary.
If it get more flights than my helis then I will know I must like it.
