I am not entirely sure what went wrong but it is unfortunate and unacceptable that you did not receive a reply - at least a holding reply. I have just sent you an email in response personally. Please accept my apologies.

Weston have re produced the 140ex, and then made a reduced size version. This is not the same as the Capiche 50.

I look forward to seeing the results of Weston's reproduction. Keeping the weight down on the biggy is going to be a challenge for them for sure.. But... if they can do it I'm sure they will.

I look forward to seeing one in the flesh.

Does anybody knows where i can buy a capiche 50 kit ? island hobbies seems not more interested to respond my e-mails. once they told that they had some kind of problem to sell me a kit and post to malta. i tried slec if they make any kits or willing to do the capiche 50 kit and they didn't gave me any reply, they passed two weeks since i think.

weston uk are makin ARTF version of the capiche but not the 50 size. and artf tend to have a expensive postage to malta from uk. dont know why? ordering from USA its much more cheaper some times.

if anybody knows some good kit cutters willing to make the capiche 50 pls tell me or someone knows anything else

regards
daniel

Daniel,

I am sorry that you do not llike the postage rates from the UK to Malta but there is very little that we can do about it.

This is why you will not be wiling to pay the delivery cost of the kit from Jersey to malta - same reason.

I will reply again to your latest email, but respectfully request that you do not use this forum as a place to criticise kit manufacturers/sellers for delivery cost - it's not our fault.

I have replied to your emails in the past but it seems that you have been dis-satisfied with the message.

Island Hobbies is the only place from which you may purchase a legitimate Island Hobbies Capiche 50 kit, and for a variety of reasons surrounding issues with delivery this has been necessarily limited to UK & Ireland only.

Hi I bought my Capiche 50 For the reasons as follows.
1. Looked at RCMW plans site and found a plane called a capiche that I could make from plan that would suit my recently lonely OS46ax.
2. After looking at the plans i thought yeh great buy the cowl and canopy. Done
3. After looking at the plans again I realised this is something that I cannot do on my scroll saw. Locate a kit.
4. After placing the order with Island hobbies I now have the kit and two cowls. No problem.

Can anyone confirm that the OS 46 AX is suitable for this little plane or would you strongly reccommend increasing the engine size.

this engine will be fine.

If you are looking for ultimate performance then of the two strokes on the market today I would probably elect for the OS 55AX.

As for fourstroke, YS 63 or equiv.
