You go to a club and get some hands on instruction as John pointed out. The LA series is the easiest of all the glow engines to operate but you still need to be shown how to tune one. The instruction Manuel gets the engine started but like an auto engine back in the days of the carb you still need to fine tune by adjusting the jets. The needle trick John mentioned is to get the low end adjusted for a fair idle. Once someone shows you how to tune these engines it is simple but until then it can be mind boggling.
