You really have to consider your price range. Unless you already have batteries and a charger for an electric truck that it will be running you a lot of money. I went to my LHS about a month ago and bought 2 3000 packs, 2 1500 packs and a Super Brain 969 charger for over 200 and thats just batteries, no car or truck. Also you have to think what you will be doing with it, will you be racing or will you just be bashing? If your kind of new I definately do not recommend buying something used though. Yeah it might be cheaper and it might be hop'd up but used stuff is a pain to deal with especially when the person sends you broken stuff. If your going to be racing look into stadium trucks made by Losi, Associated and a few other companies. If your just mostly bashing a stadium truck or an MT(monster truck) will be good.
