Agreed. I just moved last summer. Took 26x28' of the garage for my shop. I built two of the EAA tables and put MDF/formica tops on them. I massaged the sizes a bit. I think 40" is about as wide as you want to go IMO. I made a 7 x 40" and a 6 x 36". If you are going to sit at it, you could halve the bottom shelf. These aren't my primary work tables so I wanted the storage underneath. Lowe's sells butcher block tables that are very nice, but spendy. They're around $500 a piece. I put two end to end as my main work table. I'll edit with photos tonight.
