I recently purchased a G62 that was just repaired by a reputable compnay. It had new rings installed and new crankshaft. The engine cranked right up and I had a great 15 minute flight. When I got the plane back to the pits I noticed black residue on the wing and firewall on the exhaust side. I call the company who fixed the engine and told them what happened. They said it could be that the rings were breaking in and that perhaps the carb mixture need some fine tuning.
This is my first G62 but not my first gasser so I am asking if any G62 owners out there have experienced the same problem. Looks to me like something isn't right with the engine.
