Default RE: VectorFlight 300s, anygood?

O.K. Here is the information on weight I said I would get:

Total airplane including all radio gear and tank less engine: 98.99 ounces (call it 99 ounces)

Old Engine w/ Muffler: 37 ounces
Lead to balance: 6 ounces
Plane: 99 ounces
Total: 142 ounces = 8.875 Pounds

New Engine w/Muffler 21 ounces
Plane: 99 ounces
Total: 120 ounces = 7.5 Pounds

Total Savings: 1.375 pounds or 22 ounces

With wing area of 740 square inches or 5.138 sqft. that's a reduction of 4.29 oz/sqft. from 27.64 to 23.35 oz/sqft. I am very happy with this new weight, and with the 91, the plane is much closer to the advertised weight. Even if we allow for a rediculous inaccuracy of a half pound on the scale.

I will re-maiden the "Weight Watchers" Edge this weekend and publish another flight report. Hey, maybe a trim scheme was just born!

Cheers,
John
