Depending on how you trimmed it you may be able to save your cockpit. You are correct the instructions show sliding the front piece into a slot when you install the canopy. This just seems like a lot of wear and tear on very brittle parts.
Hey Keith I pretty much took it all apart. The section between the two buckets I took out; the front section I cut off and trimmed the font bucket flush. I know I cant save this one. When I was talking about cutting into piece I meant how I did it lol. I need to post pictures of what I did.
