If considering a short kit its important to understand what you are buying as there really is no industry standard, for short kits. They can be almost anything, For example: Wing manufacturing kits someone mentioned above had great stuff.

I am using their Hal Parenti 70 inch P-38 in this example because I have built two of them. The short kits included the moulded stuff (canopy, turbocharger boom top decks, boom radiator covers and cowlings), foam wing cores, wing tubes and plans with templetes for the bulkheads and that's it. No wood at all. You could choose to also order a wood kit which did include all the lumber but no laser cutting, die cutting or imprinted wood you were expected cut the templetes and do you own marking/cutting.

Don,t get me wrong these were wonderful kits as well the best flying p-38 in that size and Wing had many other kits that were more like the above definitions so you need to understand what you are buying.
