WIth your stated budget of 200 - 250 I think you should look at a gently used 1/10 or 1/8 SCT, buggy or truggy. Some of the more durable brands are out of the price you've mention but deals can be found on the forums in the used vehicle section. I know lots of people love Traxxas for bashing but honestly they are not as durable right out of the box as brands like Tekno, Mugen, HPI and even Associated. Also if you are just mostly bashing I would definately go with four wheel drive.
