If your buying from your local Hobbie store see what parts, they carry.
My self been in it 33 years had a lot gas/ Nitro / brushless.
I will take brushless monster truck over them all
Clean quiet fast no Nitro will be a brushless truck or gas when the box says 70 + head of an ox it does 70 plus in the Box pending on the brand Traxxas e maxx / traxxas x maxx
Hpi Savage.
Team losi xxl2e
Them trucks are fast and don't seem to brake easy.anyone you will not be disappointed
Just buy the right lipo battery's for it with 5000ma a 25c or larger .
And a good battery .
It does matter.
You pay $80 or more,a battery the truck will run good with long run time and long battery life.
Go cheep .well you get what you pay for.

Stay away from Hong Kong batteries the known to have polarity change and if it changes and we'll burn up your ESC instantly.
Im a retired dealer.
Been in the hobby 33 years.

I hate to see a customer spend a lot of money on cheep stuff then have nothing but problems this is my two cents good luck on what you do bottom line research research research if you buy them at local stores see what they carry obviously it's a good product if they have tons of parts 99% of your stores CarryTraxxas and hpi.
Not many carry losi buy it's a awesome trucks
