Rainer Hacker from Hacker Motors has just sent us a pair of Hacker Outrunner motors to try.
These are motors that Hacker has modified with an extended shaft for use with the V4 Contra Drive. The mounting hole pattern is the same as what we currently use, and the motor length is the same as well, but the rear shaft has an 8mm diameter versus the 6mm diameter that we use now, so we will need a new rear support.
I have no idea how this motor will work, but on paper it should work well. My plan is to try it in the coming weeks.
