OK, I looked over the Castle site and did an update on the Firmware for the ICE 50 ESC. Also went through the set up and found that the motor information was incorrect for the number of poles. The E Flite BL 15, 3600 Kv motor is a purpose built motor for the Delta-V 15 69mm fan unit. It is a 6 pole inrunner. I had this setting as a normal 14 pole outrunner. I think this could have caused some of the surge problem. Also checked the cutoff settings, I had the cutoff current set to sensitive at 50 amps so I moved this to the normal setting of 60 amps (should not be a problem cause we don't have prop strikes). I hope to fly this week some time and will report on the results. Anyone have any other ideas to check please post.
