If your building experience is limited to a Stinger, you may benefit from a kit with step by step instructions.

The Top Flite Giant Scale P-47 is a great model, with great plans and instructions. Accessory parts are available, and the model can be easily detailed.

There are several threads about this model, so there is plenty of info available.
