Actually, I use them for my light systems too. My Eurosport uses 3 1750 packs - 2 RX and 1 light system, and one 3700 pack for the ECU. Same for my L-39. My ME262 will be using two 3700's for the RX, and two 5000's for the ECU's - but in this application, I needed the nose weight, so why not carry it in batteries instead of lead...

Again, the RX and ECU's are such low-current applications that the batteries are not stressed at all. As long as they are properly maintained and balanced, their reliability is great.
