Hi rusty, thanks for your reply. I don't have a micrometer no but i maybe able to borrow one from work and get back to you with a more accurate description.
Its a 17tooth pinion.
As for the shaft 2.3mm sounds about right to me. If i had to guess i would of said 2mm. I pretty sure its not a 3mm.
