May I ask a question to the guys running this new engine, I'm building a 1/5 scale F7F Tigercat and am considering running 2 of these radials. My question is will they be enough power? My plane will probably weight in the 50-60 pound range, hopefully less but it's to early to tell. I'm shooting for 50 RTF. Of the few tigercats I've seen actually completed the engines used range from Da50's to G62's and even DLE 111's which is WAY overkill. Any info would be much appreciated.
If you can keep the weight down I'd say the new 90 with exhaust rings will be great in that Cat. I have a TF Corsair with the 84 and Xoar 24x14 prop with an AUW of about 30 pounds and it goes very well. There is a guy calls himself Tinkerman RC on YouTube and he built up a H9 with the 84 that tipped the scales at 39 pounds. Very nice looking post war plane and it flies ok at that weight.
