Here's a couple of pictures that may help. The mounted gear on this 1/5 scale Sig Cub is a Wallace scale gear, the Robart mounts the same way. I recommend putting a couple of basswood crossmembers inside the fuselage to screw the gear into, it will hold much better than balsa. The picture showing me holding a second set of gear struts is the Wallace gear mounted, and I am holding the Robart gear.
