Get the Hobbico Avistar Select RTF from Tower Hobbies. It took my son about twenty minutes to have the plane ready for flight (course we had to charge the batteries so couldn't fly right away).

The plane's tough out of the box and 'Ready to Fly'. It has a semi-symmetrical airfoil will permit some exciting flying. The OS Max 40LA is really easy to break in and almost stupid proof.

You don't even have to epoxy the wings and tail. Just use the included hardware and do the add on strengthening once you start burning some holes in the sky.

I just crashed it though, so make sure you tie wrap the excess aileron servo wires so they don't tangle up in the throttle servo like mine did.
