I used the 8700 with a Futaba PPM receiver on a new machine and did not have any problems. I had not brought it into forward flight yet as I was breaking in the engine. I asked the exact question on another site and few people came back saying they had a lot of glitching problems using ppm.

Just to be safe I replaced it with a 2700.

Like I said, I had NO issues hovering it but I was not willing to take the chance in forward flight.
