You can use the JR 2700G with PPM or PCM rx's. I am assuming you are using it with a gyro...
BTW: I have tons of Heim parts and a couple of Bell 222 with mechanics. these are fairly old..

I used the 8700 with a Futaba PPM receiver on a new machine and did not have any problems. I had not brought it into forward flight yet as I was breaking in the engine. I asked the exact question on another site and few people came back saying they had a lot of glitching problems using ppm.
Just to be safe I replaced it with a 2700.
Like I said, I had NO issues hovering it but I was not willing to take the chance in forward flight.

I fly with 8700gs but use all PCM receivers. I know that people try them with PPM and some work and some don't. I just don't think I'd chance it. I had some Telebee gyros and after hearing about and seeing the problems they had it didn't take me long to get rid of them. Even though mine were working ok.
Your 8700g might seem ok then cause the machine to lose control and go in. If you're determined to use this combination I guess it's your choice. Just think of your machine and the safety of others around you when you fly.
No disrespect intended.

the problem is when the ppm reads R.F.I. and centers the 8700 to that new spot. if its just a little off set from center you see it as drift. but if it centers on a hard piro. well then your going to wish you were useing pcm.

vince, thanks for that explanation. makes sense and i will be going with pcm.
scotty, safety is my top priority (that's why i check with others before i even try it.) but i consider myself "lucky" if only the tail goes, at least i have a chance to auto safely to the ground, unless you are two feet of the deck inverted...
