Seriously Anton, I would ditch the AV-8B and/or a STOVL F-35B. They are way too complicated to transition in and out of, perhaps only a handful of pilots may even understand the flight physics behind it. Sure it will be cool to see Ali or the likes flying one at Kentucky Jets.....but I just don't see a lot of demand for. Hope I'm wrong.
That being said, FEJ makes a great flying F-35A. Problem is, its brand name and what comes with it. But folks would be amazed how smooth it flies, and how easy it is to land. We just need a reliable model maker such as SM to make one, and put some reliability and product support behind it.

I have to believe the same tech that is used in either quadcopters, or the Demon Cortex type gyro setups could be used to make the hover and transition pretty easy.
