I will be making slow progress on my Bates Wildcat over the coming year... I've "sort of" installed the Saito 90cc triple... I will be making scale exhaust pipes/outlets and to make room for the Keleo collector ring, my firewall had to be installed behind the fuselage front. To do that, I had to cut the firewall in two pieces. And now I have discovered that I still need more room for the ring, so will need to router a major portion of the front fuselage ring away to allow the engine to reside in the scale location (in relation to prop hub) while allowing sufficient room for the collector ring NOT to touch. It is difficult to tell from the photos, but with the collector ring mounted, the engine is NOT seated against the mount stand-offs... because the ring is touching the front of the fuselage.
