About the previous post about not learning on electrics.....There's nothing wrong with learing to fly with electrics, they will just most likely take you longer to learn to fly. Even though at the time I had a glow trainer, I taught myself to fly electrics independently of the club. Did I learn any bad habits? No, not that I've been told about. I do, however, appreciate the abundance of thrust that glow planes can provide me with. I'm also one of the best dead-stick landers in our club. So, whether not this post was pointless, that's for you to decide

. I just don't want anyone to get a wrong impression of our electric aspect of the hobby. Also, electrics are much cleaner, make a better impression on the neighbors next door, and are much easier to deal with. With electrics, all you really need to troubleshoot is a volt meter...while with glow it could be: burned out glow plug...untightened bolt...incorrect clunk position....hole in fuel system....old fuel...dead glow plug heater (DOH!) -Andrew
