There's no reason to do that though. Is that 600mah battery you have not any good? Using a flight type lipo with the BEC from a speed controller is just adding extra weight and complexity. You'll be a lot better off just buying the right receiver battery for the plane.

A 1300 lipo weighs 3.4 oz. A 600 nicad weighs 3.1oz. No complexity. Simply plug in the rx wire from BEC to the rx switch. No need to buy another battery..
