EDGE ARF
After looking at the various 1200 sq in ARFS- I bought a D Patrick EDGE (mine is blue and white) and stuffd my ZDZ50 NG and a big home made in cowl muffler into it .
using all full size servos and 4 aileron servos -(also elevs and rudder servo in the tail ) plus a throttle and choke servo (full size
I ended up with ---- 14.5 lbs ready to fly. no ballast or odd batt locating required.
This is the best I have seen in a light ARF --in this size. We checked out the H9 CAP- a real beauty - but same setup.properly balanced, came in at -- 17.25 lbs. a little heavy for our altitude -but the NG really cranked it around.
The reason for the 50 was to get a model which had lots of recovery thrust --allowing it to be flown slowly.
If the snow blows over - I will try the new Unlimited sequences with it this weekend.
My last model about this size was 11 lbs and 1280 squares -with a 40 - but not an ARF.
a light model with tons of overkill recovery thrust really makes flying sequences easier.
A VERY nice ARF
Anybody else tried one of these?
