I’ll be fitting the Ralph Schweizer CRS/C54 contra drive system to the Alchemy.
To get the drive/spinner spacing correct, the factory fitted fibreglass nose ring needed to be removed. Time for a dremel party! Once removed, the CRS plywood nose ring can then be fitted to the nose instead. Plywood is also quieter than composites such as fibreglass or carbon fibre. Note, the firewall will be fitted inside the fuse. It’s only on the outside to align and mark/drill the holes.Ralph makes a nice little jig for aligning the nose ring thrust. It’s basically a 4mm ply disc with holes in it.
