Hi Rick - Things are OK here in NZ but I am on my own when it comes to autogyros. However not complaining as my field for flying (the Christchurch Model Aero Club site) is only 15 minutes away with full time availability. Being an older retired person I can go out when it suits. I see I am a `Junior` member of this group, perhaps that is a good thing because I am `senior` in everything else, although admittedly a relative newcomer to autogyros.
I have soldered a replacement TX antenna to the stub of the broken one, works fine but cannot be telescoped down to less than a foot length. I have the idea of handlaunching my autogyros with the antenna down to this length & extend it after the handlaunch. Tried it out yesterday flying an ordinary fixed wing model, had full control at height of 300 feet or more with only the one foot of antenna, did not try it any further away.
