I was thinking it needed a little up thrust as well. Even in a steep approach she will climb when the throttle is pulled back. The radio mix did the trick and it would probably easier just to mix down elevator on low throttle and a little up elevator on full throttle. The amount of mix required to tame the landing was barely noticeable to the naked eye.
