Default RE: costs between sim jet and jetcat

I have never owned a Simjet. I do own a JetCat P-120 which has been flawless.

If Simjet were truly a better turbine, or even a just-as-good turbine, only a fool would pay hundreds more for a JetCat.

In my opinion, I think the difference is far less about good service than it is about not needing that service in the first place! Sure, eventually they will all need servicing but JetCat seems to go much longer between needed servicings.

I personally know some experienced jet pilots who have tried Simjet and were not that happy with them. The last thing I want, when spending thousands of dollars on an engine, is to risk dissatisfaction with an engine just to save a few hundred dollars. From what I have seen and heard, it is a risk that I am not willing to take.

For all of those happy Simjet owners, I am happy you are pleased with your engine.
