I disagree.
My experience has shown that low voter turnout has more to do with ignorance and lack of engagement at any other level than wanting to fly, NOT because they believe everything is hunky-dory. Moreover, these AMA members (and I would venture it is the vast majority, based on my experience) rely on the "good ole boy" information network to keep them up-to-date regarding AMA issues. Ever hear the saying, "Don't mind the man behind the curtain.."

It is for this very reason that these forums are important. I have witnessed new club members that were very intimidated to speak up at club meetings due to the "good ole boys", where they are more likely to jump in here and share their experience and opinions.
