While you are correct that shutting it down is an oppression to freedom of speech, it is also IMO is damaging to the hobby as a whole. Complaining online about any organization is simply a waste of time. If you really want changes they have to happen from within. The resolve is join and run for office if it really is this important to you.

How does it damage the hobby? By calling out the AMA officers and staff, we are exposing wastefulness and abuse by those that are not doing anything for the hobby but, rather, for themselves and their perceived legacies.
Actually, calling us "the good 'ole boys" does not apply. WE are not trying to run or control anything, which is usually the case with that name. We are calling out those that are doing what I said above.
