I've got several rc-10s as well. As far as I can tell parts are still widely available for them. My first one I got a few years ago was literally a basket case. I had the chassis and a bucket of parts. I was able to order everything which was missing from team associated and the prices were more than reasonable. I've found that in most cases if something for it was discontinued, I was able to find compatible parts from a more recent model.

I also designed a 3d printable mid motor mount to convert the nitro car to 540 size motor. You can find it for free on thingiverse. My username is jacampb2 on there.

You can put about any 10th scale body on them. I have a cheap redcat racing body on the one I play with the most. The rc-10 is one of my favorite cars. The thing had proven to be almost indestructible!
