I just got a quick E. I am waiting for it to arrive. I am trying to find out about putting a brushed motor in to start. I have a brushless coming and will do the swap, but I wanted to test out a brushed motor esc I have and need an idea on the motor to use with it. I have no problems with power requirements, the esc can handle 24 cels and a mod motor no problem in a boat, I will go 12 cels in the heli. Can I just bolt in a regualr 540 can motor? (I have a C50 15 L coming but it will be a while for that to arrive and I don't think I can take looking at a heli on my shelf without trying it since I only ned a $50 motor to try it). Please advise...

And you said that the mini servos were needed other than the tail, so like the hitec 85 size then? I appreciate any help. I am fairly new to helis and have only flown my Nexus so far. I am looking forward to a 3d capable machine to practice in the yard with. I ordered a full set of futaba digitals but they can go in the excell 60 I just bought so no big loss there.
