Just purchased a Quick EP 10...does anyone have any epxerience with this heli? For me this is probably going to be an over-the -winter project. The only stumbling block....the instructional/parts list that came on the CD are in Japanese. Does anyone know if the CD is available in an English version. The Japanese vendor responded with a reply that Quick only provided a Japanese CD...any input would be greathy appreciated...Jim B

I really enjoyed building it. the only problem that I had was with the servos. The directions stated that any sport servo would do...not true!!! The tail rotor servo was standard size, but the three swashplate servos are mini servos (between micro and reg).Anyway, a great build IMHO...from the reference of going from Corona electric to Quick electric...just waiting for the battery packs (I can then get a reference for drilling the mounting holes in the canopy). I took a picture for another forum wher someone was looking for the size difference between Corona and Quick...I'll try to attach it here ...I've heard on other forums that the EP 10 flies great...cannot say yet first hand!

www.quickheli.com is the US distributer and has prices on their website...they also provide good support. Still haven't flown it yet...it's quite a bit heavier with a 12 cell battery (I needed to get larger capacity charger)

The pictures that I posted (of the heli without the canopy) are of an EP 10 that was purchased from a Japanese vendor (note: the instructional cd was in Japanese). I used the website instructions as a guide. In the pictures, the frames are aluminum. If you go to the website, I believe a carbon fiber kit or uprgrade is available. I am not sure whether they are still shipping the aluminum frame as standard or G10(I don't know what material G10 is, but I believe it to be some sort of plastic composition). The basic kit does not include blades, motor, controller, servos, etc. If this is your first heli, with the radio equipment you also need a good heli transmitter that will let you use the collective feature. Some people are not fans of aluminum frames. I find it to be strong and lightweight. The motor, battery pack and blades are the heavy features of the heli. Lipo batteries would be lighter, but at this time I have opted for the nimh packs....good luck...

I just got a quick E. I am waiting for it to arrive. I am trying to find out about putting a brushed motor in to start. I have a brushless coming and will do the swap, but I wanted to test out a brushed motor esc I have and need an idea on the motor to use with it. I have no problems with power requirements, the esc can handle 24 cels and a mod motor no problem in a boat, I will go 12 cels in the heli. Can I just bolt in a regualr 540 can motor? (I have a C50 15 L coming but it will be a while for that to arrive and I don't think I can take looking at a heli on my shelf without trying it since I only ned a $50 motor to try it). Please advise...
And you said that the mini servos were needed other than the tail, so like the hitec 85 size then? I appreciate any help. I am fairly new to helis and have only flown my Nexus so far. I am looking forward to a 3d capable machine to practice in the yard with. I ordered a full set of futaba digitals but they can go in the excell 60 I just bought so no big loss there.

I don't think that the Hitec 85's will fit. I know that Hitec 225's fit in mine (the three swashplate servos)...sorry..can't help with the brushed motor...went right to the suggested Aveox brushless...good luck [8D]
