Wow! It's been nearly a year since I had much to show on the Pfalz. I haven't been slacking off. In the mean time I have built a pair of Super Kaos' and a BUSA 1/4 scale Sopwith Camel as a hangermate for the Pfalz. I haven't had a chance to maiden the Camel due to some dodgy carb gaskets but I'm really looking forward to it. Now back to the Pfalz. If you look below you can see that I have started on the port lower wing. Right now it is just mocked up to see how everything fits. I am planning to cut a new set of ribs from ply for the wing root where the wing mounting tube passes through. That and a few gussets should strengthen the wing mount. You may notice that there are splices in the middle of a couple of the ribs. Those are the result of experimenting a bit with CNC. There is definitely a learning curve. Hopefully things will progress a little more quickly. I would like to finish up by spring.
