Tacon is a rebrand from LC Racing, they are decent quality and you can get parts on eBay so you're not stuck with a single distributor (NitroRCX). I am not particularly fond of anything smaller than 1/10 due to motor overheating issues, limited tire selection and general durability concerns. If you're looking save some money buying through NitroRCX, then consider the Sunfire which is rebranded by HSP, a 1/10 buggy will be a lot easier to upgrade electronics too.

Since you're looking to "upgrade" what is your budget? Are you wanting to get into a race grade brand?

Probably the least expensive race grade you can get on the market right now is the PR Racing 401LW which has 4 dealers in the US right now giving you a wide range of parts support, more info on the buggy here:

If you're not into building the kit yourself, then I can help build the car and install all the electronics for you so that it's a RTR to your specs, shoot me an email and I can work up a quote for you if you'd like
