No problem. Interesting discovery. I just read my new Saito FG 90 instructions and it says you can use a 2s or 3s lipo (6-12v)
BUT the ignition module says 6-8.4 volts. HMMMMMMM. I'll stick with 2s for now. My FG 84 has been running great. I emailed Adrian at CH Ignitions and will post his thoughts.
Also, getting ready for a break-in run with my new Ray English modified FG 90. As some of you know, Ray has rebuilt over a 1000 Saito engines and even licensed his mods back to Saito. I've been to his shop and there are always 6-7 engines on his workbench...mostly FG 84 and FG 90's.
He strongly recommends the following:
*2s lipo
*15:1 oil mixture
*Oil is KLOTZ KL-200
*Sunoco Optima 94 octane gas, no alcohol and very low lead Note: I order this gas in a 5 gallon pale from a local distributor. Runs about $60.
These ideas, along with baffles and exit air, have all worked great for me. Hope some of this can help others.
