Default RE: Deep Thought...

wings,

THIS is why Al Gore invented the internet <sorry moderator, I couldn't resist that, I don't mean anything political by it>

SERIOUSLY--> This "exchange of information" IS why the internet was created. You may be surprised to know that it has been around for over 20 years. It is just "easier" to use and available to more people "these days". I began using the internet over 15 years ago--before Bill Gates created "Windoze" (as we called it back then). It was great. Even then, there was an enourmous amount of information available. Especially, in the educational realm. When the "information highway" came along, we called new people (that used it as a play ground and to spread misinformation) "speed bumps". When the World Wide Web came along, I forsaw the "Information Highway" being reduced to a gravel road! Now, it has become more like the "Las Vegas Strip". In some ways it is very cool! I really appreciate RCU! But in other ways, one must sift through so much BS to find any real information, it can be frustrating. In some ways it is really good, but in other ways, it is pretty sad. Now, rather than turning to a book for reference, I turn to a brower and search engine :-(. It is quicker, but I don't think it is really better!

Thanks for letting me use your soap box Jettstarblue :-)
