Oh ouch, sounds like a big accident would have been scary!
Easy to see why you have left it for the time being, it would be hard to lose all that work, and have to do it allover again.
I will start with one of the smaller pre-built projects myself, but the idea of having to design a whole new system for airflow (making everything fit) that sounds interesting...
