yes, Micafilm is very strong and reasonably light. One of our club members has a giant Quaker (it has a 13 or 14 ft span) and the whole thing is covered in unpainted Micafilm. Flies around at about 12.5 mph it's so light for its size.

I believe you have to attach it with a glue made especially for it, though.
