The tape works fine, but keep in mind the GLUE on the tape will catch fire with almost any hot start. Then tape itself can cause your plane to burn!!!!!! I would go with the fiberfrax glued on with High temp RTV (Silicone)

GrayUk, thanks for your idea. Are you sure this is a good isolator? Any problem using it?
Do you fully cover it with aluminium tape?
