Default Receiver Mounting

I’ve recently started flying after many years with RC cars. With cars and my AM radios(yes it’s been a while since I had a car) I always just mounted the receiver to the chassis with double sided tape or inside a plastic receiver box. I started with electric foam planes and they all use Velcro to attach to the air frame. Now I’ve gotten into nitro and need some advice on mounting. I’ve heard you should wrap the receiver in foam to protect it from vibration (and crashes). I’ve also read that 2.4 receivers get warm compared to the old am/fm receivers and need air. So how do you mount your receiver? These will be new receivers in slow flying trainers for now. I also want to make sure I have the best possible location for the antennas so I don’t have to worry about aignal loss.
