This has been a great project and I really enjoyed following along, but it makes me kind of mad at the Atlantic Ocean. You see, I have boxes and boxes of tiny little TAPS at my disposal in all different diameters and thread pitches, both standard and Metric, and I could have sent you a couple of those in about 2 days if you were in the United States. Unfortunately, sending a letter across the Atlantic right now is taking about two-and-a-half to three weeks. But I definitely feel you on the shipping complaint because I have the same complaints myself. I haven't received a package on time since before the coronavirus hit. Ever since the start of the virus, every single package I've gotten has been at least two days late, some as many as three or four days late and two have gotten lost completely. People keep talking about, "when we get back to normal", I just want to start getting my mail on time again.
I just received an order from Martin Schneider's ( Geisswerk) brother that he posted in Germany July 2nd. Nearly 3 months later. I had to file a missing mail
search request. The order arrived repackaged with the water soaked remains of the original package in a plastic bag with a label that stated " Missing Mail"
addressed to me. To the credit of USPS they found it and forwarded it. Never had an occurrence like this ever in all the years sending and receiving. Clearly the package either was caught ina storm or fell over board... Just glad it made it as the order is now irreplaceable.
